CERTIFIED SURVEY MAP HEARING

·        The CSM is submitted to the Community Development Department. A planner reviews it and makes a recommendation on it to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission then reviews it at their regularly scheduled meeting, usually the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 5:00 p.m., and makes a recommendation on it to the Town Board. The Town Board of Supervisors then makes the final decision for either approval or denial at their regularly scheduled meeting, usually the 4th Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m.

·        After the CSM is approved by the Town Board, Town staff then checks to see if there are any outstanding taxes or special assessments on the subject parcel(s). After these taxes/assessments are cleared, then staff gets the appropriate signatures on the original CSM from the Town Treasurer, Town Clerk, and Town Chairman. It is then up to the applicant or engineering firm to get the other necessary signatures (e.g. extraterritorial jurisdiction within 3 miles, County Zoning Committee, County Treasurer, etc.) and then get it recorded at the Winnebago County Register of Deeds.
