A variance application can take up to 45-60 days, which involves hearings at the following levels:


1.  Town of Menasha Planning Commission – typically the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. (Town Municipal Complex). The Planning Commission makes a recommendation on the variance proposal.


2.  Town of Menasha, Town Board of Supervisors – typically the 4th Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. (Town Municipal Complex).  The Town Board makes a decision on the variance and may or may not accept the recommendation of the Town Planning Commission. This decision is then forwarded on to Winnebago County.


3.  Winnebago County Board of Adjustment – typically the public hearing takes place the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. (County Courthouse). The deliberative meeting typically takes place the following Thursday at 8:00 a.m.
