UTILITY DISTRICT COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING

Municipal Complex - Assembly Room - Monday, September 22, 2003

 

MINUTES

 

 

1)        CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

President Tews called the Meeting of Utility District Commissioners to order at 4:30 p.m.

MOTION: Jurgensen/Sauer to adopt to approve the expenditures as submitted with the exception of (none).  Motion carried.

 

b)       030922-2:UD Acceptance of Shady Springs VI Water, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer

MOTION: Handevidt/Hanson to adopt to approve as submitted.  Motion carried.

 

c)       030922-3:UD Final Change Order for Water and Sewer Projects on American Dr. and Valley Rd.

MOTION: Sauer/Jurgensen to adopt to approve as submitted. Motion carried.

 

d)       030922-4:UD Change Utility Commission Regular Meeting Dates for October 2003

MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen to adopt to approve as submitted. Motion carried.

a)        Regular Utility Commission Meeting – September 8, 2003

MOTION: Jurgensen/Handevidt to REFER the minutes to the next U.C. Meeting.  Motion carried.

a)         Water Main Breaks - August 2003

b)         Water Billing Summary - August 2003

c)         Sewer Billing Summary – August 2003

MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen to accept the correspondence for filing as submitted.  Motion carried.

 

10)     REPORTS

a)       Town Administrator James Archambo

 

b)       Engineer Brad Werner:  Lift Station #2 (Frances/Lake Shore Dr.) update with a completion date goal set for the end of this month.

 

c)       Water Supt. Jeff Roth:  water main breaks report.

 

d)       Wastewater Supt. Steve Laabs:  lateral camera training update.

 

e)       Commissioners

      Comm. Hanson:  stated she liked the report completed by Fin. Dir. Piergrossi regarding delinquent water bills.

      Comm. Handevidt:  stated all utility work is complete on the American Dr. project

 

f)        Comm. President Arden Tews:  stated Wastewtr. Supt. Laabs’ report to Grand Chute/Menasha West Sewerage Commission was very informative.

 

g)       Other Town Officials

      Finance Director Piergrossi:  update on Prospera Credit Union’s utility payments problem.  The board agreed with Dir. Piergrossi regarding the late payments due to the credit union’s schedule of payment to the town and the HTE software not being compatible with their schedule.  Beginning immediately credit union payments will no longer be accepted.  A stuffer will be included with the next utility bill informing customers, along with a notice in the town’s newsletter, The Bridge.

      Account Manager Pagel:  update on Delinquent Utility Bills.

      Comm. Dev. Dir. Dearborn:  reported that there has been interest shown in the property on CTH BB.

 

11)      MOTIONS BY COMMISSIONERS

At 5:11 p.m., Motion: Handevidt/Jurgensen to reconvene to the Utility Office on American Drive.  Motion carried.

 

The U.D. Commissioners toured the facility at 2340 American Dr., and then returned to the Municipal Complex.

 

At 5:56 p.m., MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen pursuant to 19.85(2) of the WI State Statutes, to reconvened back to the assembly room at the Municipal Complex.  Motion carried.

 

12)       ADJOURNMENT

At 5:57 p.m., MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen to adjourn.  Motion carried.
