RE:          Agenda Item 4: Rezoning – Halbrook Builders Inc. – 220 Stroebe Road

The applicant is proposing to rezone an R-2 (Single-Family) lot out of the floodplain designation. A portion of the lot was filled (permitted) 2 feet above the 100 year flood elevation. The certified survey is attached. This will then allow the construction of a single-family home on this portion of the lot. There is still a small portion of the lot that was not filled and remains in a designated wetland, which then is unbuildable. In January 2002, the Planning Commission and Town Board approved a rezoning that removed the majority of the subject property out of the wetland designation.

Staff Recommendation

Staff recommends approval of the Rezoning.
